How you can help make a better world of work

As a Junior Data Analyst in the PX (People Experience) team, your role focuses on analysing workforce and people data to support decision-making and enhance employee experience. Working within our People Analytics team, you'll collaborate closely with the People Science team to identify trends in employee engagement, retention, performance, and other key people and business metrics.

By leveraging statistical techniques and data visualization, you will uncover insights that drive strategic initiatives across the organization. Your work ensures that data-driven recommendations align with broader company and PX objectives, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

This is a 6 month fixed-term contract position. 


Responsibilities

  • Data Collection and Management: Gather and manage employee and workforce data from various HR systems and sources.
  • Data Cleaning and Preparation: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data through cleaning, validation, and preparation for analysis.
  • Trend and Pattern Analysis: Analyse people-related data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to employee engagement, retention, performance and connect it with business impact
  • Data Visualization: Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders. 
  • Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical methods to analyze data and support hypothesis testing and modelling.
  • Reporting: Regularly present findings and recommendations to the PX team and other stakeholders to inform strategic PX initiatives.

You have

  • Experience in data analysis
  • Experience in SQL
  • Experience in R or Python for data extraction, cleaning and modelling
  • Experience in using data visualization methods and tools (e.g. Looker, Looker Data Studio, Tableau)
  • Knowledge and application of core statistical analyses including correlation, regressions, and classification
  • Knowledge in concepts of experimental design, hypothesis testing, sampling, power analyses, A/B testing

You have (not ideal, but preferred)

  • Understanding of diverse data collection methods and the ability to evaluate data accuracy and its fit for purpose
  • Understanding of data governance
  • Degree or experience in a related field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or Business Analytics 
  • Relevant Certifications in data analysis tools and methods (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel, or Tableau)
  • Basic Knowledge of HR/People Analytics, organisational behavior, or related disciplines would be advantageous
