Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity is looking for a Clinical Business Analyst (CBA) to lead the Order Set Team for the Clinical Information Solution (CIS) Program. The primary focus of the role is to lead a Clinical Standards Team on the development of Order Set standards and streamline Order Set workflows used by physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other regulated health professionals providing bedside care.

Responsibilities:

• The primary focus of the role is to lead a Clinical Standards Team on the development of Order Set standards and streamline Order Set workflows used by physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other regulated health professionals providing bedside care.

• The CBA Lead will be required to work closely with other team leads, Subject Matter Experts, and clinical stakeholders in the gathering of business requirements and design of new standards and workflows to be adopted province wide.

• This role serves as a subject matter expert on the impact that CISs and digitization of clinical processes will have on the design of content, workflows, and procedures.

• Developing and maintaining high-level project plans and assisting in complex problem-solving processes.

• Gathering and defining business and system requirements, conducting gap analysis, developing design documents, and facilitating engagement sessions to achieve the project’s objectives.

• Fostering and maintaining close working relationships with the various lines of business to ensure the business and information technology requirements align.

Qualifications:

• University or Community College Degree in either Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst (or equivalent) responsible for requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, workflow design, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation.

• 5 years of demonstrated experience and understanding of medical terminology, treatment protocols and clinical guidelines. This involves assessing order sets and making data-driven recommendations to enhance the clinical workflow. Additionally, the ability to map and optimize the processes around the implementation and management of order sets is key to ensuring they are integrated seamlessly into the clinical workflow and improve patient care outcomes.

Scored qualifications:

• 3 years of Leadership experience on clinical information solution implementation project(s) leading teams through all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (design, build, test, deploy).

• 5 years of demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.

• 3 years of demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders and leading teams supporting more than one project stream/activity at a time. Lead experience in management of healthcare initiatives with a specific focus on CIS implementation and/or clinical standardization.

• 3 years of demonstrated experience as a regulated health care provider with experience in the use or development of order and order sets in an operational role.

• 1 year of demonstrated expertise employing project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.

• 3 years of knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) in the work environment.

• 1 year of knowledge of the JIRA platform for issue and project task management.

• Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in both French and English is strongly preferred.

• Previous experience working within public health authorities, showcasing a strong understanding of the public healthcare landscape, policies, and practices.

Hourly rate: $100/hour.
