About the Role
Lyra is looking for a highly motivated Director of Strategic Finance & Corporate Development to help us realize our mission of becoming the premier mental health solution for employers and employees. The role will be responsible for flexing across multiple lanes, including pricing strategy, new product development and M&A, and will be a key finance thought leader within Lyra.
Responsibilities
Pricing strategy: partner with Go-To-Market to set pricing for new sales & renewals globally, balancing profitability targets and market dynamics to make high-quality pricing decisions
New product development: partner with Go-To-Market and Ops teams to recommend pricing for new products & business lines that balances sustainability & market dynamics
Unit economics thought leadership: propose and lead execution of analytics that help Lyra better understand key profitability levers, to inform pricing strategy and hurdle rates for new investment
M&A strategy & execution: work closely with Lyra’s executive team to align on what types of M&A opportunities Lyra should consider, as well as a framework for when we should build/buy/partner. Lead deal execution, including business & financial due diligence, presenting recommendations to Lyra’s executive team and Board.
Qualifications
8+ years work experience, with 2+ years of private equity direct investing experience (required)
Advanced financial modeling skills with the ability to distill complex decisions into simple but comprehensive financial models
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and balance multiple deliverables with competing timelines in a dynamic environment
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey recommendations and conclusions. Experience presenting thoughtful analysis and a compelling point of view directly to senior leadership
Proven success developing and/or improving processes, with a desire to inspire change across the organization
Ability to collect, organize and analyze complex data at a macro and micro level with minimal supervision. Actively seeks the input and opinions of stakeholders; explores and considers a wide range of options before acting
Demonstrates high critical thinking and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail as well as an ability to tackle ambiguous situations
Must be a proactive self-starter with exceptional follow-through and the ability to work well independently with minor supervision
