Your missions

Manage and control the financial reporting and financial analysis functions and other analyses for the materials and services companies of assigned LOB focusing on line of business (LOB) growth. Work closely with the Executive Team and Controller supporting projects and other strategic initiatives across the business, including; insurance, network and supply chain growth initiatives, ad-hoc analysis, special projects, acquisitions and joint ventures.

Direct research and analysis of business and financial information; make recommendations and assist in establishing the strategic direction

Support the development of enterprise, pillar, and LOB strategies including the development of longer-term strategic and business plans

Create framework to prioritize growth opportunities and selection process working with Executive Team in order to prioritize projects with emphasis on maximizing profitable growth

Track, value and report on success of growth opportunities and build into various forecasts and plans including 5-year plans

POC for LOB President and LOB Controller regarding growth opportunities and ad-hoc financial analysis including cross-LOB insurance, network and supply chain impact analysis

Oversee research, analyses, and reporting of fluctuations in financial and business results to identify trends and research variances; make recommendations to improve company performance and resolve issues

Oversee research, analyses, and reporting of fluctuations between actual financial results and forecasted amounts to advise management on potential areas of impact; make recommendations for corrective action

Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets for the development of strategic business plans for the company.

Evaluate workflow processes, recommend and implement procedural and systems changes to deliver quality service to the department’s customers

Provide direction to staff on strategic and departmental projects, including financial and business analysis, budgeting, accounting, and reporting

Manage multiple financial projects with competing deadlines simultaneously

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports

Working knowledge and experience in the vision, healthcare or insurance industry

Demonstrated ability to conduct various types of analyses, including cost-benefit and alternative analysis

Proficient in spreadsheet applications and financial/analysis systems

Ability to analyze work processes and drive changes

Strong organizational skills--ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously

Strong interpersonal relationship skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clean credit history as reported by credit report

Ability to regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please click here. 

Salary Ranges: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00
