Erlang Solutions is a software consulting and integration business building scalable, distributed, reliable solutions across a range of verticals. We work with clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500, including WhatsApp, Klarna, bet365, VMware, Motorola to mention a few. We have grown organically year-on-year. To aid this growth, we are now looking to add to our successful international sales force an experienced, motivated individual, who will be given the freedom to develop sales, customer relationships and accounts across the globe, developing a healthy pipeline consisting of new, proactively-generated business and inbound leads and opportunities we regularly receive.

Predominantly based in the UK, with UK and European travel, you will report to the Chief Commercial Officer, who will train, guide and help you partner with other members of the commercial and technical teams across the business to create successful sales strategies and approaches and solve key customer challenges.

We require an energetic, determined, persistent, enthusiastic and results-focused individual who is a natural team player and is eager to learn and adopt successful sales practices. You will have demonstrable success in selling software technology, products, services and software solutions based on open source technologies to CTO/CEO/CIOs.

You will be able to strike the perfect balance between technical appreciation and commercial tenacity and be highly adaptable in terms of situation and communication style to successfully engage with CTO/CEO/CIOs and lower-level technical stakeholders alike.

An ability to manage and develop relationships with internal technical and commercial stakeholders will be equally valuable. Alongside securing new business opportunities the main purpose of the role is:

  • To identify and establish business opportunities and convert prospects into sales through new business development, networking and bespoke sales proposals;
  • To develop and manage strategic relationships with new and existing clients whilst creating a well-balanced pipeline of opportunities across ESL`s products and services portfolio, containing both new sales and business development prospects and warm, inbound leads;
  • To collaborate with the ESL Technical Team in the process of new business sales, including the full spectrum of pre-sales functions;
  • Staying up to date with the latest technology trends;
  • To understand and utilise the Erlang/Elixir and their associated open source communities in developing and realising a substantial pipeline.
