Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mortgage Loan Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Mortgage Sales Manager, enjoying the benefits of a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to work from home or at our office locations. Occasional travel to meet clients and attend meetings will be required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Connect with clients to offer tailored residential mortgage solutions.
  • Convert both inbound and outbound sales leads into successful applications.
  • Assess clients’ financial needs and recommend the best mortgage products and rates.
  • Meet and exceed sales performance goals, reviewed on a monthly basis.

Essential Functions

  • Source, originate, and process residential mortgage loans.
  • Provide guidance and advice to loan applicants throughout the process.
  • Collect necessary information and documents from applicants and relevant parties.
  • Determine and explain loan terms, including interest rates, points, and fees.
  • Handle all aspects of loan processing and closing, ensuring smooth transactions.
  • Address questions and resolve issues related to loan closings for applicants and other stakeholders.
  • Share information about our loan products and services with real estate professionals.
  • Attend meetings and presentations, both hosted by us and real estate firms.
  • Prepare reports and ensure loan files are complete and accurate.
  • Take on additional duties as needed to support our team.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing and negotiating loans in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with loan processing guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA standards.
  • Strong knowledge of standard loan practices, documentation, and real estate terminology.
  • Deep understanding of the mortgage market.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Must be based in California.
