Bridge Loan Specialist

The Bridge Loan Specialist at Knock is a hybrid processing and underwriting role. As a Bridge Loan Specialist you will be responsible for reviewing Knock Bridge Loans to verify the loan is complete, accurate, and meets regulatory compliance requirements. The Bridge Loan Specialist is also responsible for providing quick turn times, high-level customer service, technical assistance, and quality assurance on multiple loans simultaneously.

  • Calculate Knock Bridge Loan advance amounts using internal calculations and guidelines
  • Proper and effective pipeline management with an average of 5 new loans a day and 5 resubmissions per day staying within a 24 hour turn time 
  • Accurately condition loan files based on the loan application and file documentation
  • Consistent communication internally providing loan status and approval updates
  • Effective and consistent communication with external Lending Partners, Agents, and Borrowers
  • Review title reports and homeowners/flood insurance to ensure Knock’s lien position and security interest
  • Understand and stay current with all company policies, procedures, industry regulations, and other changes that affect the industry and Knock
  • Continually learn, grow, and expand your knowledge, while supporting others’ learning experiences; act as a mentor and be a resource for others inside and outside of your immediate team
  • Take on ad-hoc projects as they arise and always be willing to support the team where they need you

Qualifications - You’ll Bring: 

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor or Junior Underwriter with knowledge of underwriting processing  
  • Central or Eastern Time Zone Only
  • Encompass experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills with an adept decision-making ability 
  • Organizational skills to manage many competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate with exceptional written and verbal skills including experience speaking directly with borrowers  
  • Proven success carrying an active pipeline of at least 35 loans per month 
  • Effective time management skills 
  • Strong knowledge of various loan products, credit reports, and loan-to-value  ratios
  • DataVerify Drive Fraud experience preferred
  • Have proven success working 100% remote in prior positions 
  • Innate ability to learn new technology quickly through self-learning
  • Passion for real estate disruption and excitement to make an impact in people’s lives
  • Belief in creating diverse, equitable, and inclusive practices and programs that will further Knock’s commitment to making an impact, learning, putting people first, being open, and courageous
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Our Compensation Philosophy: As a remote first fully remote (U.S.-based) workforce, our goal is to ensure that all Knockstars are fairly compensated.  Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position: $70,000 USD + incentive program(bonus). This job posting expires on September 30,2024.

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
