As an M365 Services Engineer you will participate as part of a team of highly skilled engineers working with the M365 suite of applications to drive business efficiency through the SaaS based tools within this suite and ancillary applications.; As a Senior Engineer you will take on the role of engineering the adoption of these tools in addition to relevant migration, configuration, and administration efforts for the AmeriHealth Caritas Office365 environment to ensure day-to-day operations are met and coordinate migrations while ensuring uptime and deployments are done in accordance with defined operational and security ;policies. It is critical to have a strong understanding of Microsoft services such as Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Entra AD, and other platform services.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other senior staff members and peer teams to assess, and review current and future M365 solutions, 3rd party directory management tools and applications and implement life cycle maintenance processes.
  • Research new technology systems which could improve efficiencies in computing environment and recommends appropriate findings to management.
  • Develop, define, and create best practices processes for M365 infrastructure services.
  • Participate in security and application troubleshooting and incident problem resolutions with other infrastructure teams, including Linux, Database, storage, messaging, and LAN/WAN.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripts for Automating and Developing processes within the environment.
  • Mailbox and mail delivery management.
  • Managing and ensuring availability of M365 services, Exchange Online (email, calendar, tasks), M365 Administration using Office365 Admin Console and Office365 Command Shell.
  • Responsible for documentation of the AmeriHealth usage of M365 infrastructure services.
  • Manage change process, support, and request queue.; Ensuring all major changes are reviewed and approved by appropriate management before resources are committed.
  • Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring and maintenance to ensure high availability.
  • Coordinate & participate service/support needs with Vendors, Technical Support Engineers, Application Support Engineers, and the Infrastructure Team effectively communicating issues and resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune, Bookings, Azure AD connect, and other M365 related platform services.
  • Know and follow best practices for the supported technology.

Qualifications / Education:

  • At least seven (7) years of overall Messaging Services experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in overall M365 administration primarily including Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Entra AD, and additional services.
  • Strong understanding of day-to-day functionality in M365 services.
  • Extensive experience and skill in the use of PowerShell to report on and manage O365 services.
  • Required M365 and related skills: Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Proofpoint, Intune, and Automation (PowerShell, Python, JSON).
  • Preferred M365 and related skills: Power Apps / Power Automate, Bookings, Forms, Information Protection and Governance (IPG), Microsoft Purview, and Copilot.
  • Must have a solid understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles, practices, and processes in providing and managing the delivery of a large scale, Enterprise¬ wide service.
  • Occasionally have long endurance of 20 or more hours – disaster recovery and conversions.
  • Provide 24 x 7 On-Call rotation Support 365 days a week and need to be available for On-Call rotation.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
