JOB DESCRIPTION:
The intern will:
- Follow Learning Objectives set forth in Intern Work Plan.
- Conduct clinical assessments to develop treatment goals and objectives for treatment.
- Make diagnostic impressions and develop care plans to support client goals and objectives.
- Implement evidenced based interventions for perinatal depression/anxiety and caregiver/child bonding and attachment to support clients in obtaining goals identified in care plan.
- Routinely monitor and review clients’ progress towards goals and modify care plan as needed.
- As needed, assist clients in the developing a crisis plan while following the crisis process.
- Meet all required deadlines for documentation for both billing and grant requirements;
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with women and families from diverse backgrounds.
- All must be done within a standard 40 hour week
- Other duties as assigned by Project Director/Clinical Supervisor
Qualifications for Internship Role:
The clinical intern must have received a Bachelor's degree and be currently enrolled in a Master's level degree program with a focus in Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family programs.
This is an unpaid internship.
