Job description

WorldStrides’ Bowl Game Event Team provides personal assistance and support to guests during nationally televised college football bowl games. Team members will provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees by addressing their needs, managing inquiries, coordinating services, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Team members are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, hospitality, customer service, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Assistance – Providing exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing their inquiries, and assisting with any special requests or needs.
  • Information and Guidance – Offering information about the event, venue, and schedule.
  • Problem Solving – Quickly and effectively resolve any issues or complaints that guests may have, escalating matters to appropriate parties when necessary.
  • Personalized Service – Tailoring services to meet individual guest preferences and requirements; including dietary restrictions and accessibility needs.
  • Protocol Adherence – Ensure that guests adhere to event protocols, such as dress code or entry requirements.
  • Emergency Response – Be prepared to handle emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, including medical incidents or security concerns.
  • Team Collaboration – Work closely with other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Post Event Feedback – Collect and document guest feedback, identifying areas for improvement and providing valuable insights for future events.

Requirements

  • Event Support – Follow directions and handle a variety of tasks as directed by the onsite event host, event coordinator, or account manager.
  • Team Minded – Easily and quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with every member on a team.
  • Service Minded – Work effectively in a service-oriented environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to climb stairs, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended period, and work in various weather conditions, including heat and cold. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions.
  • Flexible Schedule – Available to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, extended (long) workdays, and extended numbers of days in a row.
  • Travel Availability – Able to travel over holidays and weekends from mid-November to early January.
