Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the daily financial operations of four legal entities within the manufacturing and construction sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing accounting functions, managing AR/AP, payroll, and month-end closing, and supervising a remote team of clerks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and month-end closing.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate financial records for all business entities and ensure timely data entry.
  • Payroll Management: Process payroll using Gusto or ADP, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Vendor Management: Handle invoicing, billing, and collections, with a focus on construction-based billing processes.
  • Supervision: Oversee and train remote AP/AR clerks, providing performance feedback and guidance.
  • System Integration: Manage the integration of accounting systems with QuickBooks, Bill.com, and payroll software to streamline workflows.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist with audits and preparation of financial documents for tax filings.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience with US-based small businesses.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Bill.com, Gusto, or ADP.
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll and tax regulations.
  • Experience with construction-based billing and lien waivers.
  • Ability to manage and mentor remote staff.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in manufacturing or construction industries.
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting and job costing.
  • US CPA qualification.
