Salary: £50,000 basic annual salary

Based: Huntingdon

Permanent: 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday

The Opportunity/Role 📢

Reporting to the head of Logistics this role will be responsible for managing and analysing logistics data within our organization and utilising this to support and drive improvement activities. This role will work closely with the logistics and supply chain pillars to ensure data accuracy, generate insights, and support decision-making. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ultimate responsibility for the data accuracy and flow within Logistics which drives continuous improvement projects

  • Drive inventory accuracy through best practice, regular audit, and IT systems 

  • Partner with senior leaders in transport, manufacturing, customer services, and warehouse workstreams to refine and analyse data and provide direction and leadership on improvement programs that deliver solid outcomes for customers

  • Use expertise to define strategic direction and innovations to deliver a market-leading service with strong control of information and cost 

  • Reduce defects in the material flow, storage, and fulfilment processes and improve the speed at which customers receive their orders by defining and providing standard ways of working that span the entire flow network 

  • Drive business goals such as overall volume plan, peerless customer experience, and reducing the overall cost and lead-time for logistics activities 

Requirements:

  • A background in logistics or supply chain data systems or inventory management with gravitas to establish best practice 

  • A strong track record of communication skills across multiple stakeholder groups within the logistics field, with progressive experience in SME or complex organisations  

  • A strong leader, developing a small team to mesh and magnify your combined efforts so that you can affect change in the wider business 

  • A problem solver, comfortable working with data to make critical decisions and helping colleagues to understand complexity 

  • Experience of project management and continuous improvement in a transformational environment, with knowledge of how to use and refine ERP and WMS processes (Dynamics AX experience preferred)
