What you'll do...

As a Data Assurance Engineer III, you'll participate in the development of cutting-edge data loss prevention solutions, collaborate with internal teams to secure our global infrastructure, and join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering a culture of security and reliability. What you'll do:

  • Drive the Data Loss Prevention Program: Own the development and implementation processes for data loss prevention controls, including the analysis of data, products, and usage, as well as the creation and maintenance of detection logic.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Collaborate effectively with internal functional and business areas to ensure alignment with security, data, and privacy frameworks, initiatives, and policies.
  • Protect our Data: Protect the data of millions of customers, associates, and Walmart’s global infrastructure through innovative problem-solving and diligent data management.



What you'll bring:

  • Technical Involvement: Demonstrates the ability to assist technical initiatives, update technical configurations, and advocate for change under supervision.
  • Event Analysis: Verifies the validity, context, and severity of DLP policies and events to identify trends and potential gaps.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensures accuracy, consistency, and reliability in DLP event data, along with suggesting updates to standard operating procedures.
  • Data Incident Identification: Identifies data leak incidents not triggered by an alert/policy while reviewing DLP policies and recommends necessary changes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience specifically in data loss prevention technologies creating and implementing new detection logic.
  • Intermediate adversarial and analytical expertise. Comfortable reviewing data to identify control gaps and recommending junior-level countermeasures.
  • Some experience building and testing regular expressions and data dictionaries under supervision.
  • Some technical acumen (enterprise, endpoint, network and/or cloud) to participate in the review of data flows, network diagrams, and other documentation for new applications and to identify appropriate data controls and locations.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
