Your missions

Paxful is looking for an experienced and strategic social media professional to lead our global social channels. As the Senior Strategist, Social Media, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a strategic social media presence across our platforms and establishing a strong connection with our community. Success in this role will be defined by the ability to significantly increase social engagement, grow our follower base, and effectively integrate social media efforts with overall brand strategy. 

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about team leadership, project management, and strategic analysis. Success in this role requires the ability to think strategically and move fast to execute strategy and optimizations alongside the in-house Social Media Manager. You have excellent project management skills, a deep and current knowledge of each platform’s unique offerings and use cases, a keen eye for compelling and innovative content, and a passion for continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:

Strategy and Growth

  • Conceive, develop, and manage a comprehensive social media strategy for Paxful
    • Leverage data, human, cultural, and audience insights to develop reactive social concepts and strategic adjustments
    • Define targeted growth strategies for our different markets, identifying unique demographic and geographic insights and trends
  • Stay updated and report on industry trends, competitor activity, platform updates, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and optimized for maximum reach and engagement
  • Plan, propose, and execute social campaigns that deliver leads and achieve performance goals.
    • Apply a highly analytical approach to our campaign management across both organic and paid; track budgets, test variables, optimize ad spend and drive efficiency.

Content and Operations

  • Serve as the in-house expert on social channels, community management, and growth opportunities. Channels include, but are not limited to: X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, etc.
  • Spearhead the development, production, and execution of social content alongside in-house Content Creator, constantly innovating with a strong point of view and leveraging channel performance data, customer insights, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ideate and execute innovative campaigns that align with business goals and initiatives
  • Develop a unique and ownable brand voice across social media to build brand recognition and a distinct personality compared to our competitors

Performance and Analytics

  • Develop and advocate for social KPIs that enhance our brands' reputations, grow audiences, and generate leads
  • Analyze performance and deliver regular reporting on key metrics using both quantitative data and qualitative feedback. Make data-driven adjustments to drive growth, engagement, and reach across all platforms
  • Utilize social listening and analytics to identify and communicate key insights and recommendations to other departments, including but not limited to Product, Customer Experience, and Business Development.

Community Management

  • Maintain responsibility for generating engagement-driving initiatives meant to increase interactions between our communities, followers, and relevant brands
    • Deliver timely written content on Twitter, responding to trending conversations and timely news
    • Expand our reach to new audiences by engaging with relevant brands, thought leaders and influencers in the industry
    • Become the resident expert on the sentiments, needs, and frustrations of our community members, proactively communicating emerging trends in our business and industry.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media strategy, understanding their algorithms, features, and best practices
  • Results-oriented – proven experience improving social media effectiveness through analytics
  • Experience with lead attribution and user tracking to measure and optimize the effectiveness of paid campaigns
  • Experience using and evaluating social publishing and social listening tools
  • Strong writing, communication, and visual presentation skills. Use data to derive insights and present information to other department leads clearly
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and current social media trends
  • Strong stakeholder management skills. Can distill competing inputs from stakeholders to set a vision and design the right long-term solution
  • Highly collaborative team player with a hands-on mentality and a willingness to explore and try new things – not afraid to roll up your sleeves to meet a goal
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, performance-focused business environment. Adept at handling new challenges and changes with ease
  • Hands-on experience building and managing multiple campaigns across various social media platforms
  • Familiarity with video editing tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other similar platforms 
    • Native video editing for TikTok and Reels is a plus
  • Experience working in highly regulated global industries (ex: finance, crypto) is a plus

Google Analytics or similar web analytics tool
Social Media Management software such as Later, Sprout Social, etc.
Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools
