Job description

Are you an experienced insurance coverage attorney looking to make a lateral move? Then this is the opportunity you have been waiting for! Latitude is seeking a junior partner with 7+ years of experience in insurance coverage matters to join a full-service leading defense litigation firm located in Philadelphia, PA. A nominal book of business is required. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills are a must. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; New York is a plus. This is a remote position out of the firm’s Philadelphia, PA office.

Responsibilities of the Insurance Coverage Junior Partner:

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload
  • Work closely with other attorneys and partners on legal projects
  • Regularly handle court appearances, depositions, and examinations under oath
  • Communicate with clients and provide status reports

Requirements for the Insurance Coverage Junior Partner:

  • 7+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience in matters involving commercial general liability, fiduciary liability, professional liability and commercial crimes policy
  • Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, depositions and motion practice
  • Superior written and oral advocacy skills required
  • Legal project management experience is helpful
  • Nominal book of business required
  • Licensed to practice and in good standing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; New York is a plus
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional law firm setting
  • Outstanding references

Compensation

  • Pay: The salary for this role is $165,000/yr and up depending upon experience and origination potential. Pay is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
  • Benefits: In addition to pay, a competitive benefits package is also provided, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) and generous leave policies.
