Your missions

INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT

Description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Semi-Senior/Intermediate Accountant to join the dynamic finance team of our client.

You will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of clients providing services to include: annual accounts, self- assessment tax, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping and other specialist areas of work.
Prepare and maintain statutory account to draft stage for review by the portfolio manager.
Manage and reconcile general ledger, bank accounts, fixed assets, and wages.
Perform monthly and year-end bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Handle VAT and tax returns, with a good understanding of UK VAT regulations.
Ensure accurate preparation of accounts and financial reports.
Communicate internally with various departments to support financial processes and reporting.

Requirements

At least a bachelor's degree in accountancy or any accounting-related field
3 to 5 years of experience in UK accounting.
Proven experience with public practice accounting (1-2 years required).
Proficiency in accounting software: TaxCalc, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of statutory accounts, VAT, tax returns, and general ledger management.
Ability to prepare and reconcile accounts, including fixed assets and wages.
Excellent internal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills for internal collaboration.
Must be willing to work on a UK shift from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM MNL time.
Must have a reliable internet connection for a work from home arrangement.
