Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Gathering business and application requirements from the customer, including forward interaction and promotion of Supermicro products
• Design and implementation of customer solutions with products and platforms available, both on and off roadmap
• Leading training and education efforts on Supermicro and market technology, focused on customer needs and requirements.
• Working with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operation teams to initialize or support business at the customer and Supermicro, Pre-Sale and Post-Sale support.
• Ability to work as a highly technical problem solver, understands system architecture, hardware, and software interaction .
• Visit on-site facilities and operations to enable solution integration and issue resolution.
• Lead in solution development, work with design, testing engineers to enable new enterprise and data center solutions.
• Ability to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds the customer’s business needs.
• Other duties may also be assigned by FAE management.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering preferred, or an equivalent combination of profession experience and training.
• Excellent communication skills and business sense required.
• 5 year+ (minimum), 10 years (preferred) of related experience with Compute/Storage Server or Data Center or IT Infrastructure experience desired.
• S trong background and experience with x86-based server architecture
• Familiar with Data Center infrastructure, Network infrastructure or Liquid-Cooling architecture is a plus.
• Solid HW system design and diagnostics skills
• Familiarity with Firmware, Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms is a plus.
• Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Individuals must be able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
