As a National Business Development Manager at UPS Supply Chain Solutions (SCS), you'll work with the country manager to lead our Freight Forwarding Business Development strategy, programme and delivery. Your Tasks 

  • Identify new business opportunities by liaising with all units within the UPS sales division
  • Get to know your clients' needs to deliver an exceptional service
  • Network with contacts overseas, building relationships for pipeline development and the creation of new sales leads
  • Stay on top of your game by conducting regular reviews of market sector strategies
  • Use your understanding of global geopolitics and its impacts on logistics markets to make key business decisions
  • Build and maintain accurate pipelines, reporting on successes and lost opportunities with your CRM experience
    Represent UPS SCS as a brand ambassador at tradeshows and industry networking events 

Your Skills 

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) specific to supply chain logistics or global transportation is ideal but not essential
  • Expert airfreight knowledge is essential; expertise in full-modal freight forwarding and customs brokerage is advantageous
  • Proven ability of identifying business development opportunities and upselling to enable value creation
  • Awareness of cold chain and patient and healthcare logistics
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint, Power BI and Teams
  • Business-savvy, with strong commercial acumen and financial understanding
  • Excellent at influencing and negotiating with a high attention to detail
  • Able to interpret and analyze complex data and solve problems
  • Top-notch verbal and written communication skills
