Position Summary
Essential Responsibilities:
- Specific experience in managing categories related to Software, SaaS, Cybersecurity, Telecom, etc.
- Assist in implementing Global Sourcing strategies for major categories within IT aimed at achieving net cost savings as well as mitigating short term cost risk.
- Deep understanding of supply, demand and other influences and levers that would support the IT strategy roadmap.
- Establish global spend visibility to clearly define category spend baselines, current suppliers, and monitor the impact of sourcing initiatives.
- Interface with Finance to link Sourcing savings with budget goals.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the key stakeholders IT needs and overall business goals.
- Achieve early wins to build organizational confidence and momentum.
- Build common purpose with key business functional leaders to create a collaborative approach to supplier relationship management. Ensure that Sourcing addresses the business functional requirements and cost performance.
- Engage with the business functions to identify sourcing opportunities, drive the RFP process and competitive bidding. Ensure that all appropriate supplier documentation and agreements are in place.
- Establish and develop a clear channel of communication and coordination between Sourcing and functional counterparts in the business units.
- Engagement in enterprise-wide projects, and/or new site operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Demonstrated results in driving cost efficiencies in the indirect IT categories of spend.
- Deep understanding of levers to identify and unlock opportunities for savings.
- Multiple years of experience as Category Manager, Sr Procurement Manager or Manager in a global manufacturing company, the hospitality sector, gaming, technology, etc.
- Experienced with multi-step strategic sourcing processes across a range of categories.
- Skilled negotiator.
- Experience with leveraged agreements, multi-year, complex contracts, and should-cost models.
- Highly focused on business priorities with a successful record of accomplishments and results-oriented.
- Excellent supplier relationship management skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, and highly skilled at assessing and managing priorities.
- Effective communications’ skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Must be able to build rapport and trust with cross-functional colleagues and foster a collaborative environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience. Advanced degree is a benefit.
- APICS/NAPM, CPIM or CPM certification or equivalent preferred.
- 7+ years’ work experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or directly related fields.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Leading end-to-end Strategic Sourcing initiatives.
- Capable of effectively operating with ambiguity; ability to influence internal stakeholders and supplier relationships.
- Strength in building relationships with internal stakeholders across a wide variety of categories.
- Strong knowledge of the business and long-term strategic goals.
- Superior written and verbal skills.
- Strong customer service skills are required.
- Ability to successfully multi-task is required.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and experience with Business Intelligence tools.
- Experienced in reviewing and leading contract negotiations
- Proficient in Excel
- Strong financial acumen
