Job Title: Area Sales Manager (Midlands/North)
Location: North & North-West Wales
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + car + bonus

A leading supplier in the industrial paint equipment, tools, and automotive supplies sector is seeking an ambitious and experienced Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations in North and North-West Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to drive business growth and manage key accounts in a well-established company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Visits (Monday to Thursday):
    • Conduct 6-7 visits to existing customers daily to maintain relationships and maximise sales opportunities.
    • Identify and engage with 3-4 new potential clients each day, with the aim of generating quotes and building new business.
  • Key Account Management:
    • Meet with 2 key accounts per day, ensuring that the top 20% of customers by spend are visited once a month.
    • Ensure all key account visits are pre-planned and scheduled for maximum effectiveness.
  • New Business Development:
    • Target distributors such as industrial paint suppliers, tool shops, and car parts factors.
    • Seek out end-user opportunities such as industrial paint finishing facilities and automotive body shops.
  • Sales Administration:
    • Input meeting notes into Pipedrive immediately after appointments and log completed activities.
    • Forward confirmed orders and quotes to the internal team for processing.
    • Apply flexible pricing strategies, ensuring a minimum of 30% gross profit.

Requirements

  • A proven track record as an Area Sales Manager/Field Sales, preferably in industrial tools, paint equipment, or automotive supplies.
  • Account management experience maximising sales opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a target of 10 face-to-face meetings per day.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Pipedrive.
  • Full UK driving licence
