Title: Financial Business Analyst- Remediation
Location: Remote
Type: Fulltime

Summary/Purpose:
  • The Contract Functional Remediation Coordinator will manage Customer Remediation Projects driven by the Customer Remediation Policy utilizing traditional Business Analysis Disciplines, Project Management Disciplines, Agile and Scrum practices, Data Analytics, and Consulting behaviors.
  • This role will operate within Scrum PODs at the direction of a POD Leader (Product Leader) and Scrum Master.
  • This is a heavy matrixed environment, and the contract position must effectively operate and consult with globally diverse teams and employees at all levels of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Use Scrum and Project Management disciplines to execute Customer Remediation Policy within the remediation process and workflow.
  • Accurately identify populations of customers that require remediation and consult with all applicable stakeholders to ensure calculations of applicable refunds, account adjustments, credit bureau updates, or any other defined customer resolution are expertly documented and validated within the remediation process.
  • Create, contribute, and consult with Data Analytics and process SMEs on development of each remediation analytical data strategy which may include multiple impact scenarios while also working independently to resolve obstacles across matrixed processes and data sources.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, 3rd parties, and all levels of management and executives to resolve obstacles and achieve remediation goals within the time constraints of the remediation policy and workflow.
  • Partner with Process Owners, Compliance, Legal, and the Remediation Center of Excellence (COE) in establishing procedures and resolution requirements to ensure accurate and timely delivery with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Communicate with tact and diplomacy to influence decisions and gain buy in with various levels of leadership on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and experience preparing materials and facilitating presentations to senior leadership
  • Identify defects, process breakdowns, assist in investigation, solution and escalation.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
  • Working knowledge MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint features to include use and design of workflows and libraries.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions based on quantitative analysis and creative thinking.
  • Strong self-starter balanced with desire to achieve team goals.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with uncompromising integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 10+ years of Business Analysis, Project Requirements Development, Initiative Management, Agile/Scrum Experience, Project Management experience, or similar and applicable experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a financial services industry: data analytics consulting, technology and/or operations, compliance, risk management, process consulting or similar and applicable experience.
  • 10+ years of overall work experience
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and experience with logic based decision-making systems, risk management practices, or basic programming experience.
  • Knowledge of data analytics practices, consulting and constructing data plans and waterfalls.
  • Ability to work US times 8a – 5p Monday through Friday EST. At times: must be flexible to work weekends, early mornings, and late evenings as dictated by project needs.

Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years experience in a financial services setting managing customer remediation projects, remediation policy, compliance, validation, data analytics related to customer remediation policy and practices.
  • BA, BSC, Consulting, Programming background or understanding of logic based decision-making systems.
  • Data Analytics Consulting background.
  • Experience operating in a Scrum environment.
  • Experience with Remediation and Issue management processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of analytics, modeling tools, statistical techniques and segmentation strategies.
  • Experience with query tools
