Description

Population Health Registries and data models are the cornerstone for delivering the right care to the right patient at the right time. Not only do they serve as a cohorting tool, they aggregate payors and outcomes to help better appreciate the value based impact. Registries are an engine that drives healthcare. The interconnected processes and complex rules require expertise to manage. These tools identify patient who will receive interventions clinically from ordering providers including new labs, procedures, medication and follow up.

The rules and accuracy are critical for that to function accurately. In order to serve in this role, the enterprise population health architect needs to understand Epic healthy planet and data architecture, highly accurate groupers, rule based decision support tools, health maintenance, bulk outreach and communication, robust understanding of reporting workbench. The individual must have the ability to vision cross enterprise solutions that can be repurposed into multiple workflows.

This position will involve design, building, testing, and implementation of registries, and data models within the clinical application system. Provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs. Works with clinicians to prepare detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk and impact analysis. May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance. As a technical leader in population health, applies advanced professional concepts and extensive industry knowledge to lead and/ or work on medium to large projects of broad scope and complexity. May be recognized expert of an area of focus of business in clinical applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training. Related experience: working with clinical application systems, Population Health and/or healthcare analytics.
  • Will be required to be certified in assigned EMR vendor's product/module within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Must satisfy all vendor testing requirements to be certified without needing to attend vendors training a second time for the same class.
  • Professional level experience working with clinical information systems and developing reports.
  • Intermediate experience in SQL coding, familiarity with views, automation, stored procedures, and/or SSIS.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to working a group setting and group projects.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently, setting priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills, presentation and report writing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate experience working in the Tableau data visualization tool.
  • Extensive experience and working knowledge of all MS office products. Knowledge and experience of database management technologies.
  • Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
  • EPIC Certification in Clarity Clinical Data Model.
  • Experience and working knowledge of all MS office products. Knowledge and experience of database management technologies.
  • Professional experience and proven success performing clinical workflows, user interface optimization, clinical decision support, rules development, data integration and mining, clinical ontologies and adoption of technology.
  • Familiarity with quality programs such as: QIP, EHPI, eCQM, Magnet.
  • Familiarity with standard healthcare terminologies such as LOINC, SNOMED, CPT, ICD, etc.
  • Experience with developing and managing knowledge management, data governance, and/or master data management programs.
  • Experience with developing and managing technology products including developing user profiles, requirements, experience testing, and product portfolio management.
  • Familiarity or experience with OMOP Common Data Model and/or Data Warehouse schemas.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
