Description

As legal and judicial agencies transition to a technology-driven workflow, VIQ Solutions leads the way in providing transcription services across various industries. We are currently seeking experienced legal/judicial contract candidates with significant expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. This is a 100% remote opportunity for independent contractors.

The content to be covered will include depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. The work demands intense attention to detail, familiarity with legal terminology, and excellent grammar. You will process audio recordings while strictly adhering to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.

As an independent contractor with VIQ Solutions, you'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule and access guidance from our supportive in-office team as needed. Work is available 24/7/365 to accommodate diverse schedules, and those with weekend availability are especially encouraged to apply.

Skill Requirements

Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription required.
Excellent listening skills.
Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to collaborate remotely.
Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
Ability to pass a background check.
Familiarity with legal terminology.
Court reporting students will also be considered.
Currently, this opportunity is not available to Massachusetts or California residents.
