Description

Are you passionate about managing and optimizing server operating systems? Join our dynamic Enterprise Operating System Management team, a vital part of our IT services responsible for maintaining and enhancing both Windows and Linux server operating systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Administration: Configure, manage, and secure Enterprise Linux and Windows server operating systems. Ensure systems operate smoothly across physical servers, virtual machines, public cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert consultation and technical advice to IT personnel on system issues and enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex configuration and technology system issues.
  • Application Management: Administer and maintain applications and services related to Microsoft technologies, including Windows, Active Directory, and SCCM.
  • Security and Compliance: Support Linux Server operating systems and manage computing resources in secure environments, adhering to standards such as PCI, NIST 800-53, and HIPAA.
  • Documentation and Collaboration: Contribute to team documentation and operational procedures. Collaborate with management to design and implement strategies for system enhancements.
  • 24⁄7 Support: Participate in an on-call rotation and be available during university emergencies as essential personnel.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field with at least two years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with six years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience equivalent to six years will also be considered.
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Vulnerability Management, Physical and Virtual Server Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure/Entra. Proficiency in Windows Server, Windows PowerShell, MEMCM (SCCM), and Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Management. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
