Your missions

Overview:

This position is headquartered out of Tucson, AZ, which is the preferred location. Fully remote is an available alternative, but may result in an additional 10% travel.

 

The Sr. Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our IT business systems, including but not limited to ERP implementations, integrations, and data migrations.

 

 

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality assurance within complex IT environments and a strong background in test automation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for IT business systems, including ERP, integrations, and data migration projects.
  • Oversight of Third-Party Testing: Oversee offshore third-party testing service companies, ensuring they meet quality standards and project timelines.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed test plans, including test cases, test scripts, and acceptance criteria. Ensure thorough testing of system functionality, performance, security, and data integrity.
  • Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation, develop automation frameworks, and implement automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead quality assurance efforts across IT projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers
  • Defect Management: Track and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to achieve higher levels of quality and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of testing activities, including test results, defect reports, and process improvements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate testing progress, issues, and results to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure testing practices adhere to industry standards, best practices, and company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on IT business systems, ERP implementations, integrations, and data migrations.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks and experience with test management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion Cloud) and their testing requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in coordinating and executing test activities, including designing test plans, creating test cases, and conducting various types of testing.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies, leading industry practices and trends (such as adoption of AI in testing).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or similar.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud, Mulesoft, and SCALE.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.

Salary range for candidates based in Colorado or New York- New York City: $118,207-177,310

Salary ranges include base salary and annual incentive bonus if applicable.
