About The Role

We're a growing manufacturer of premium quality vinyl windows, recognized as one of the top 100 Window and Door Manufacturers in North America. We are searching for an enthusiastic and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a robust understanding of window and door products, demonstrating confidence, accountability, trustworthiness, and professionalism, with a proven ability to grow markets and build lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify potential customers and establish meaningful contact.
  • Schedule and conduct product demonstrations.
  • Attend industry trade shows to generate sales leads and nurture client relationships.
  • Keep up with industry trends and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Recommend marketing strategies targeted toward specific regions or demographics.
  • Generate and submit sales reports to management.
  • Negotiate and close sales with new and existing customers.
  • Plan takeoffs and manage sales pipeline to meet targets.
  • Keep the client database updated with the latest information.
  • Participate in team meetings and training to stay informed on industry developments.

Primary Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field OR at least five years of relevant experience.
  • Proven success in building and maintaining customer relationships within the building materials sector.
  • Ability to travel frequently with 2-3 overnight stays per month.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Location

This is a remote position requiring daily travel within the assigned sales territory, which includes the Minneapolis Metro area, central Minnesota, and surrounding regions (from Wisconsin to South Dakota). The ideal base locations for this role are within the Minneapolis Metro area. You can expect to drive between 600-800 miles per week, with approximately 2 overnight stays per month.
