Your missions

Description

Are you an experienced financial professional with a passion for supporting complex projects? We're seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team and contribute to the success of multiple initiatives within our Commercial subdivision. This role will primarily be remote, with occasional visits to our Herndon, VA office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by the Program Management Office (PMO) and other stakeholders.
  • Track funding status and provide timely and accurate updates on funding details by line item.
  • Support accounts receivable functions during billing processes. Monitor billing status and address unbilled issues by working closely with Finance, Contracts, Accounting, and PMO teams to resolve concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and all relevant company policies and procedures related to contract performance and financials.

Required Skills And Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in finance.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across functional teams and with internal business partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong data management, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Functional knowledge of various contract types and project control methods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for work on Department of Defense (DoD) contracts.
