Your missions

Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven B2B Media/Events Account Manager with at least two years of experience in B2B sales, ideally with a background in hospitality and/or media. This role focuses on generating revenue within our product suite, developing new client relationships, handling inbound inquiries, and growing existing accounts. You will primarily concentrate on a small territory centered around a pizza industry publication.

About The Role

We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, self-motivated, and energetic, possessing strong initiative and excellent sales skills. You should be comfortable selling online advertising, custom content, webinars, newsletters, and lead generation products. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to create compelling presentations.

The ideal candidate is a skilled business developer with high professional standards, excellent account management and organizational skills, and a growth mindset. You should be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and other departments. While a foodservice background is not required, a keen interest in marketing strategies and assisting customers in developing comprehensive media programs is crucial. The sales process is relationship-oriented and requires a high level of accountability. This is a full-time, salaried position with commission opportunities and the ability to work remotely. Travel to industry events and client meetings is required (approximately 20%).

Responsibilities

  • Seek out new accounts, primarily suppliers and partners of independent/small pizza operators
  • Attend industry-specific conferences to prospect for new business
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the sales department on assigned brands
  • Conduct outbound calling and emails to vertical market targets
  • Collaborate with brand leaders and management on cross-vertical proposals and account relationships
  • Maintain and nurture leads within the CRM system
  • Onboard new clients and follow up on project deliverables
  • Coordinate with the accounting team on invoicing and billing matters
  • Conduct research to support sales pipeline development and stay updated with industry trends
  • Communicate feedback from leads and customers within the organization
  • Support management, events, marketing, and custom content teams as needed
  • Prepare and engage in weekly/monthly sales reporting and meetings

Requirements

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of success
  • College degree (preferred) or certificate in sales/marketing
  • Commitment to sales growth, revenue generation, and exceptional client service
  • Strong judgment, high professional standards, and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and a strong sense of urgency and initiative
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in outbound phone sales
  • Proven ability to work independently and in small teams
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiating skills and experience using a consultative, solution-based sales system
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software and advanced knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Suite
  • Basic understanding of sales performance metrics
