What’s this role about?

As a first-line Sales Manager, you will be hiring, leading, and developing a team of Account Executives. You do this job because you love supporting your team in achieving their success, and you are fanatical that their success is founded on repeatable sales process.

You will be responsible for ongoing mentoring and development of the sales team which includes recruiting, hiring, and training new team members. In addition to team quota attainment, one of your primary output measures will be your ability to actively manage the funnel and forecast for your team and report on this to senior sales management.

The team you lead here at Auvik will directly impact the growth of our overall organization. You will coach your team to develop their skills, their careers, and inspire them to do the best work of their life. As the first escalation point for all commercial negotiations, you will be masterful in client engagement and impact how your team and their customers understand the value Auvik brings them. You will bring your proven commercial negotiation skills to every call, mapping customers’ business needs and business models to Auvik’s solution and finding 1+1=3 commercial solutions to support your AEs in winning business. 

What will you be doing?

  • You are accountable for the quality of your team’s funnel and the accuracy of the forecast.
  • You are the first point of escalation in all commercial negotiations, and will engage your peers across the other functions at Auvik to deliver high-quality wins
  • Ongoing mentorship and development of a sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new Account Executives on sales process.
  • Conducting weekly forecast meetings. Coach direct reports regarding strategies to drive deals forward to close.
  • Consistently monitor sales activity of the team and track the results, identifying areas for improvement/opportunity for all the CorpIT AE’s and your business. Effectively raise and communicate these to leadership.

What are we looking for?

  • Several years prior sales management experience showing consistent ability to achieve sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities. 
  • Flawless forecasting & funnel management.
  • Extensive history of creative solutions in commercial negotiations.
  • A strong drive for results.
  • Strong engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven experience using and coaching a repeatable sales process.

Compensation Details:

At Auvik, our compensation philosophy is to be market competitive, reward performance, reflect our commitment to equity and maintain transparency with our employees. We have defined job levels and compensation ranges for each of our markets we employ, based on research from various sources of market data, which are reviewed on a regular basis.

The hiring range for this position is listed below. Compensation offered for candidates in this role is based on a number of factors including job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. These factors may cause your compensation to vary within the range outlined below.

In addition to cash compensation, all full-time employees are granted stock options to share in Auvik’s future successes. Auvik employees are eligible to participate in additional benefits and programs including our comprehensive health and dental benefits plan, Wellness spending account, GRSP matching program, flexible paid time off, paid parental leave program, and are eligible for remote working subsidies.

OTE Salary Range (Base + Target Incentive):
$139,000$181,000 CAD
