JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead QA Engineer to join our team. The Lead QA Engineer will be responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of QA engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and standards to ensure the highest quality of software products.
- Establish and enforce QA best practices, including test planning, test case design, and defect management.
Test Planning and Execution:
- Lead the creation of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests, ensuring thorough coverage of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
Defect Management:
- Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect identification, tracking, reporting, and resolution.
- Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects in a timely manner.
Automation and Tooling:
- Drive the adoption and implementation of test automation frameworks and tools to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Identify and integrate new testing tools and technologies to enhance the QA process.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on quality goals and objectives.
- Communicate QA status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights.
Performance Measurement:
- Define and track key QA metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present QA reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading QA teams and managing QA processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Extensive experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies and tools.
- Strong background in test automation, with hands-on experience using frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing tools.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

$76,600.00 - $147,700.00
Compensation Frequency:

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
