JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead QA Engineer to join our team. The Lead QA Engineer will be responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of QA engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and standards to ensure the highest quality of software products.
  • Establish and enforce QA best practices, including test planning, test case design, and defect management.

Test Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the creation of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests, ensuring thorough coverage of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.

Defect Management:

  • Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect identification, tracking, reporting, and resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects in a timely manner.

Automation and Tooling:

  • Drive the adoption and implementation of test automation frameworks and tools to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Identify and integrate new testing tools and technologies to enhance the QA process.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on quality goals and objectives.
  • Communicate QA status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights.

Performance Measurement:

  • Define and track key QA metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present QA reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record of leading QA teams and managing QA processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Extensive experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies and tools.
    • Strong background in test automation, with hands-on experience using frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
    • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing tools.
    • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Compensation Range:

$76,600.00 - $147,700.00

Compensation Frequency:

Annual

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
