About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QA engineer engineer for a contract position. As an Engineer on the Inspire project you will be responsible for ensuring the immediate quality of the product - both in meeting requirements and in functionality - and building systems to ensure the long term support of those requirements. You will take detailed design and requirements and codify them as automated tests that will run at scale on existing infrastructure. You will collaborate with Project Managers and Architects to ensure a complete and timely delivery.

The Inspire Project

The Inspire Project aims to develop a sophisticated, client-facing platform that will enhance client support and demonstrate the value of Stylitics. This platform will serve as a central hub for our clients, offering them a dynamic and intuitive interface to manage their interactions with our offerings and clearly understand their ROI.

It will expand our current platform capabilities with a brand new user interface inside of the platform. We will test with tools such as Cypress and Percy. We will produce reports detailing coverage. Our automated tests will run through Github Actions; Percy will be run through Browserstack infrastructure. We will run some tests with staging databases and some with fixture data.

We will work in 1 week sprints. Monday - 1 hr meeting to groom project and plan. Friday - demo to company. These will be the only scheduled meetings. You will be required to submit Pull Requests for code review and be responsive to feedback asynchronously.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Git/Github experience
  • 3+ years of Cypress/Playright Experience
  • 1+ years of Visual Regression software experience
  • 1+ years of Github Action experience
  • Work US East Coast hours; Fluent English

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with Vite JS
  • Experience with Vitest and Testing Library
  • Experience with Percy

Salary

When we find the right person, we try to put our best foot forward with an offer that excites you and is fair on our end. We consider the skills and experience you bring, what similar jobs pay, and make sure there's equal pay for equal work among those you'll be working with. The compensation amount for this role is targeted at $50 - $55 HR. The final offer also takes into account other factors of a total compensation package, including what is market-based on the region. Please note that the range is being shared in good faith and is subject to modification based on changing market and business conditions.

Duration: 6 months Hours/wk: 30hrs
