The Job

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management, operation, and optimization of the company's IT infrastructure and cloud environments. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems while supporting the strategic objectives of the organization. The IT Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud-based systems, and ensure seamless integration and performance across all platforms.

Your Mission

  • Operational Management:
    • Manage and oversee all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments (e.g., Azure).
    • Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems and services to support business operations.
    • Monitor and maintain the health of IT infrastructure, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact operations.
    • Lead the IT operations team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Cloud Management:
    • Develop and execute the cloud strategy in alignment with the company’s business goals, focusing on cost optimization, security, and scalability.
    • Manage cloud services, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimizing cloud resources to ensure efficient and effective use.
    • Work closely with application owners and technical teams to ensure cloud solutions meet operational requirements and business needs.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to improve the cloud environment.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Collaborate with the IT Security Specialist to ensure that all IT operations and cloud environments meet the organization's security policies and compliance requirements.
    • Implement and maintain security protocols, including identity and access management, to protect the integrity and confidentiality of IT systems.
    • Ensure disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies are in place and regularly tested.
  • Strategic Support:
    • Collaborate with the Head of Global IT and other key stakeholders to align IT operations with the strategic goals of the organization.
    • Provide input into the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure they support both operational needs and long-term business objectives.
    • Lead initiatives to continuously improve IT operations and cloud environments, driving innovation and efficiency.
    • Support the implementation of process automation and AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual workload across departments.
  • Vendor and Contract Management:
    • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring that they deliver services in line with agreed SLAs and company standards.
    • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize costs while maintaining high service quality.
    • Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure service delivery meets business needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other IT teams, including the IT Service Delivery Manager, Product Owners, and Technical Architects, to ensure a cohesive approach to IT management.
    • Act as a key point of contact for operational IT issues and provide timely and effective communication to stakeholders.
    • Participate in strategic planning sessions to ensure IT operations and cloud management are aligned with the organization's overall IT strategy.

Your Talent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations management, with a focus on cloud environments and infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing cloud environments (preferably Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, and security.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions that meet business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.
     

This role is based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. Working remotely from other countries is not possible.  

  • Our salaries are based on 38 hours per week, but fulltime work is 40 hours per week. Instead, you choose between a lot of holidays; 40 per year ór choose for a 40-hour salary per month with still 28 holidays. You can switch every six months;
