Your missions

We are looking for skilled developers to enhance an existing Gantt chart visualization in PowerBI. This project requires modifying publicly available code from GitHub to include features such as multiple hierarchies, task relationships, multiple milestones per row, and flexible time frames. The role involves both initial customization and ongoing support for future enhancements, with the final product to be deployed for client use.
Your responsibilities:

  1. Customization and Development:

    • Modify and extend existing Gantt chart code from GitHub to incorporate multiple hierarchies, task dependencies, and customizable time frames.
    • Ensure seamless integration of the customized solution with PowerBI’s data model for optimal performance.

  2. Testing:

    • Conduct comprehensive testing to guarantee all customizations function correctly and efficiently.
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any bugs or issues that arise during testing.

  3. Documentation:

    • Develop user guides and training materials tailored to the customized solution.
    • Document the customization process, usage instructions, and troubleshooting steps.

  4. Ongoing Support:

    • Provide continuous maintenance, updates, and feature enhancements based on client needs and feedback.
    • Implement new features and adjustments as PowerBI evolves.


Requirements
  • Proven experience with PowerBI custom visuals SDK and modifying existing open-source code.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and related web technologies.
  • Strong understanding of PowerBI’s data model, DAX, and data integration.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
