Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Be part of the IMG Media Americas Team, the Vice President of Sales will be expected to influence IMG’s growth and profitability.
  • To negotiate, agree and conclude content licensing deals, maximizing all license fees with each deal being approved by rights holders.
  • Managing the IMG Media current sports portfolio.
  • Aim to exceed all sales projections. All to be pre-agreed with Americas Senior Leadership Team, in advance.
  • Work together with the America’s Team to manage and build senior relationships across Media and the Sports industry in region.
  • Continue to nurture, build and develop relationships with key customers/licensees from but not limited to; Broadcasters, Production Companies, Digital Platforms to expand roster of clients in the region.
  • Managing the retention of partner and revenues.
  • Provide a professional, best in class sales experience for all customers during every negotiation.
  • Strategically review and monitor buying habits/trends in the marketplace and provide feedback to the Rights Holders.
  • Ensuring all customers receive their electronic paperwork (contracts and invoices) in a timely manner and aiming for all invoices to be paid by no later than 90 days from their due date.
  • Liaising internally with Finance, Legal, Marketing, Production to manage sales and deliverables.
  • Close coordination with Finance and Legal in all acquisitions – RFP processes and private negotiations.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure all sales and revenues are reported accurately.
  • Interact with IMG Media Global Sales team to better develop relationships and business. 
  • Retain an awareness of IMG’s competition to assist in enhancing IMG’s regional and global position.
  • A shared vision to help drive/take IMG to “the next level” in everything IMG does.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the role.

Knowledge and Experience      

  • Over 15+ years’ experience in the Media Rights negotiation industry.  
  • Demonstrable/established experience in the content negotiation industry (buying or selling).
  • Must have an extensive knowledge and interest in Sports on both traditional and digital media.
  • Experience of working in the Sports marketing ecosystem (media, governing body, rights holder)
  • Experience in the Mexican Media and sports market is highly valuable.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results orientated.
  • Fluent in English and Latam Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese is a bonus.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Working Conditions

  • This is a perm position.
  • This role will be based at our office in Miami Coral Gables, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
  • May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
  • Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
  • Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
