A Day in the Life

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Coronary and Renal Denervation (CRDN) team. Our products and therapies are used in the treatment of patients with Coronary Artery Disease and Hypertension. Our customers are clinical and non-clinical, and mainly within the Interventional Cardiology and Interventional Radiology specialities in Tertiary Centres and District General Hospitals.

The CRDN team are responsible for establishing Medtronic as ‘The Company’ to partner with to help Physicians reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease through leveraging our combined portfolio. To aid this vision there is a constant focus on developing innovative solutions and a significant investment in R&D across the combined businesses with both businesses having a strong pipeline of products and solutions coming to market over the coming years.

This position requires travel (>85%).

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Promoting and selling Medtronic's Coronary and Renal Denervation portfolio within the Midlands region in the UK to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with Clinical and Commercial stakeholders, continually keeping pace with clinical developments and changes in practice as well as the changing procurement landscape.
  • Promoting and establishing education of the company's products and or services.
  • Conducting market research including customer and competitor activities.
  • Implementing market development plans and strategies and changing them as needed.
  • Communicating customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record in Cardiology sales in a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical environment
  • Ability to work in an operating room setting
  • Proven ability to effectively build relationships with a wide range of clinical and non-Clinical stakeholders
  • A positive person with strong entrepreneurial skills who brings passion, energy and excellence in execution to their work
  • >85% Travel is required
  • Working knowledge of company products and services preferable
