About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing financial data, creating insightful models, and offering recommendations that guide business decisions. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will need a strong grasp of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to present complex financial information in a clear, effective manner.

This position is primarily remote, but candidates should be located within a 2-hour drive of Pittsburgh, PA, as occasional office visits will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data and develop comprehensive reports and models to support business decision-making.
  • Prepare financial statements and presentations tracking performance against KPIs for the leadership team.
  • Monitor financial performance, compare it to forecasts, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing capital expenditure proposals and investment appraisals.
  • Collaborate with various departments to refine KPIs and value drivers, ensuring they align with corporate goals.
  • Enhance and develop financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • High integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, etc.) are a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of financial experience.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Experience in a SaaS or start-up environment is preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in the US permanently.
