NeoGenomics is looking for a Senior Enterprise Data Architect who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This opportunity can be a fully remote position and will have a Monday - Friday day shift.

Position Summary:
The primary function of this Sr. Enterprise Data Architect position is to provide architectural guidance, technological recommendations, and transition strategies. This role is critical for establishing a solid foundation for data management within an organization, ensuring that data is organized, accessible, secure, and aligned with business objectives. 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead the establishment and enforcement of robust data governance practices, ensuring the accuracy, utility, and accessibility of data for organizational use.
  • Drive initiatives to maintain data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Propose leading technologies, innovative technical solutions, and architectural strategies to address business challenges, meticulously evaluating their costs and benefits.
  • Continuously contribute insights and novel perspectives on business and technology, aligning with the strategic plans and directions of the enterprise.
  • Create data architectures spanning Data Warehouse, Big Data, Master Data Management (MDM), and Advanced Analytics (i.e. ML, Cognitive) technologies working with solution architects and application teams.
  • Provide expertise in data profiling, metadata governance, data specification, data flow mappings, and enterprise data models.
  • Research, understand and stay ahead of technology trends as it relates to data architecture and analytics, including ML, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other analytics trends, and share that research within architecture
  • Provide technical consulting for application teams for data naming, classification, design, and handling as a part of the first line of defense for data controls in designing systems ensuring data base standards are followed.
Experience & Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At Least 5 years of experience in IT data architecture and/or solution delivery
  • Experience with or in depth knowledge of database and big data platform strategies
  • Agile project experience designing implementing analytics solutions
  • Experience working with cross functional teams like solutions architects, technical leads, business analyst, software developers, DBAs to achieve architectural objectives.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry.
  • Healthcare or Life Sciences domain knowledge strongly desired.
