Job description

Energy Policy Analyst / Associate - UtilityScale Renewables & Battery Storage

Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)


This an opportunity to join an industry leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing that is focused on the development/execution of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. They are at the forefront of the industry, have accumulated over 9GW of projects in a relatively short period of time, and are currently in an accelerated expansion phase.

The company is open to Energy Policy Communication candidates at both the Analyst and Associate levels. This role will join a growing Policy & Communications team that is paving the way for the future of renewable energy storage projects in the United States through advocacy and development efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Renewables Energy Policy Analyst / Associate - Take a lead in drafting company policies and public agendas 
  • Renewables Energy Policy Analyst / Associate - Plays a big role in driving external relations and presenting regulatory policy on controversial topics tied to development of renewable energy projects
  • Renewables Energy Policy Analyst / Associate - Draft fact sheets, graphic materials, web design content reflecting company's mission
  • Renewables Energy Policy Analyst / Associate - Develop and implementation company charity initiatives based on corporate as well as project initiatives 
  • Renewables Energy Policy Analyst / Associate - Manages internal company systems like SharePoint and Wordpress for internal/external communication purposes
  • Renewables Energy Policy Analyst / Associate - Acts as lead coordinator for event management, media coverage, and company website development work 


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors Degree focused on political science, environmental policy, or communications (ideally focus on renewable energy or energy infrastructure) 
  • Effective communicator with solid verbal and contextual conversation skills
  • Well versed in popular media communication design applications like WordPress, Canva, SquareSpace, and SharePoint
  • Understanding of media design strategy and experience working designers on graphics for media campaigns
  • Ability to participate in advance level discussions in the utility-scale renewables, transmission, and battery storage space
  • Candidates with experience in the following roles are preferred: Policy Analyst, Policy Associate, Communications Analyst, Communications Associate, Regulatory Affairs Analyst, Regulatory Affairs Associate, Regulatory Analyst, Regulatory Associate
