Job Description

We have 3 distinct types of roles available:  1) Test Analyst, 2) Functional Automation Tester and 3) Performance Tester

1) Test analyst, you are responsible for:

  • Writing requirements,

  • Writing test cases,

  • Manual and automated test execution,

  • Defect reporting and advocation,

  • Stewardship and internal controls,

  • Protecting user experience,

  • Orchestrating acceptance testing with other testers,

  • Test environment configuration,

  • Gathering feedback from various teams involved in the SDLC.

2) Functional Automation Tester, you are responsible for:

  • Planning: Provide input on requirements and test cases:  share high level feedback on what is needed to make tests automatable (input data, line config, expected result, high level technical details)

  • Analysis, design, developing, implementing, and maintaining test automation solutions that reflect real business use cases during the SDLC, specifically while development is in progress.

  • Scripting functional test execution: Build automated tests based on approved requirements + tests + expected results;  Automate and execute automated tests in pace with the development team

  • Analyze and reporting functional test results to the team on testing progress and results: pass / fail / blocked / incomplete; provide feedback on test status, test progress, product quality and process quality.

  • Detecting and advocating for the fixing of defects.

3) Performance Tester, your responsibilities include:

  • Planning: Deriving performance test objectives, Outlining your performance test plan, Communicating with stakeholders, Provide input on requirements and tests,

  • Analysis, Design and Implementation of performance tests: Design tests that target specific parts of a system using common protocols: Database, Web, API (REST), Network, Mobile, Remote; Use the concept of transactions / transaction response times in your tests, Identify operational profiles and create  load profiles;  Analyzing Throughput and Concurrency; Creating Performance Test Scripts; Creating and maintaining test data.

  • Scripting performance test execution:  Preparing scripts using industry leading test tools; Setting up the system under test and test environment; Deploying to the environment; Setting up the load generation and monitoring tools and making sure that all the necessary information will be collected; Execute Performance tests; Working in sync with the development team during development sprints

  • Analyze and reporting performance test results and implications to stakeholders; Detecting and advocating for the fixing of defects

Job Qualifications

All roles:

  • College or university degree

    • Preferred: Degree in Computer Science (Software Development / Engineering)

    • or a degree in another discipline

Experience:

  • Experience with testing: Web Apps, REST APIs

  • Experience in working with Windows Servers

  • Experience in the planning, design, management, execution, and reporting of tests using appropriate testing tools and techniques

  • Experience in gathering test requirements,  test case automation, test implementation and execution, good test resource/planning and knowledge.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, problem resolution, presentation, and decision-making skills required

1) Test analyst:

  • Certified in Tricentis qTest

  • Preferred: Familiar with Gherkin, SPECFLOW,

2) Functional Automation Tester

  • Certified in Tricentis TOSCA

  • Certified in at least 1 of these:  Javascript, C# , Microsoft SQL, MS PowerShell

3) Performance Tester

  • Certified in Tricentis Neoload

  • Certified in at least 1 of these:  Javascript, C# , Microsoft SQL, MS PowerShell, Python
