Description

At CloudBolt Software (www.cloudbolt.io) we know our amazing employees are the reason for our success. If you're looking to join an energetic, collaborative organization where you can make a difference every day, tackle the toughest cloud automation and cost optimization challenges, and have lots of fun doing work you love... join us at CloudBolt, and be part of helping companies better control hybrid cloud/multi-cloud chaos!

As a Principal Delivery Engineer, you’ll be contributing to a discipline and team whose charter is to improve delivery performance through raising levels of automation through the entire delivery process. Your technical leadership will be required to build and deliver frameworks, conventions and composable units of work that manage all forms of change through automated delivery pipelines that move us from manual silos and over the wall handoffs to visible, CI/CD from commit to production. Your technical leadership skills will be key to driving adoption of modern DevOps practices and conventions across the team.

First Principles

These sets of principles are the north star for our organization’s growth:

We bias for momentum over urgency

This bias does not mean there are no urgent matters we need to be responsive to, it means that by focusing and prioritizing momentum building systems, practices and capabilities we will create more market value and pace over time than we would otherwise.

We inspect and interrupt inertia

Status quo is always challenged.

We disrupt and displace debt

Where we are limited by technical debt and friction we will prioritize resolution.

We stack small successes

We build momentum by iteratively delivering small wins which will culminate in large wins for the company and confidence in our team.

We lead with empathy

Requirements

Must have strong experience with:

  • Declarative IaC frameworks (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • CI/CD with a proven track record of building continuous delivery systems
  • Managing day-2 operations with modern observability concepts (metrics, events, logging, traces)
  • Cloud native development and DevOps principles
  • Developing in public (AWS, Azure, GCP) and private cloud contexts (VMware, RedHat)
  • Working with containers, 12-factor app patterns and serverless architecture
  • Working collaboratively with other strong engineering leaders
  • Being a transformational force in engineering teams – the status quo is the enemy

Experience in the following is beneficial

  • Ruby on Rails and/or Django application frameworks
  • Data architecture in relational and non-relational contexts
  • Building applications with AI/ML integrations

Additional

  • Ability to travel to 1-2 times per year
  • Excellent written and oral communication that can bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, executives and customers

Location

  • All remote locations considered

We Offer

Our US benefits package includes:

  • Medical/Dental/Vision coverage
  • 401k with Company Match
