Location: Denver, CO; Houston, TX; or Remote

Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented salesperson to join the Spruce Pro team. This role is vital in advancing our servicing segment through direct outreach to potential customers, the establishment of strategic partnerships and management of the sales cycle process through close. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background in the renewable energy field, an understanding of the solar industry, and the ability to build and manage relationships with industry partners. Spruce Pro is a small team looking to grow rapidly, so the ideal candidate will have experience building a team and strategy from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the sales cycle of solar servicing contracts, including financial asset management, homeowner support, billing and collections, asset operations and the monetization of SREC credits. Ensure that clients receive high-quality service and support throughout the sales cycle and the duration of the contract term.
  • Customer Outreach: Identify and contact potential customers directly through cold calls, emails etc.
  • Market Engagement: Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote Spruce Pro’s offerings and build brand recognition. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including energy consultants, industry associations and solar developers. Develop collaborative relationships that drive mutual growth and enhance market presence.
  • Sales Strategy and Reporting: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed targets. Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and partnership outcomes. Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
 
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with company objectives. Provide feedback to improve product offerings and service delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 10+ years of sales experience with a focus on renewable energy solutions or solar servicing. Demonstrated success in managing sales processes, building partnerships, achieving targets, and building a team from the ground up. Existing industry contacts and relationships are a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in solar energy or renewables are advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Deep understanding of solar energy systems, servicing requirements, and industry best practices
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Ability to build and execute a comprehensive sales strategy
    • Proven ability to establish and manage strategic partnerships and collaborative relationships
    • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools
  • Personal Attributes: Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven. Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving market conditions and client needs.
