POSITION SUMMARY

This position will report to the Vice President of Supply Chain and provide critical supply chain project management and analytics driven from large scale M&A, Quality, Regulatory, PMO, Engineering, R&D, Continuous Improvement initiatives. 

This position will also be accountable for supporting in-depth analytics and serve as a subject matter expert within the existing Supply Chain organization.  The Principal Supply Chain Analyst will provide expertise around the various SIOP efforts from Demand, Supply, Inventory, Service, external Supplier support as needed.

This position will collaborate with Marketing Product Managers, Plant Supply Chain/Operations, S&OP/Demand Planners, External Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Master Data, Distribution, Transportation, and the Business Analytics Teams.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge:

  • Expert skill level in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Access, SQL and other data management tools.
  • Experience across the broader Supply Chain functions – Customer Service, Demand Planning, Capacity Planning, Supply/Inventory Planning, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Distribution, Transportation and advanced level experience in supporting projects that are driven by M&A, Quality, Regulatory, PMO, Engineering, R&D.

Skills & Abilities:  

  • Cross-functional knowledge throughout the supply chain (manufacturing, distribution, planning, sourcing and supply, transportation) including demonstrated knowledge of financial metrics and drivers.
  • Detail oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and with limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support AirLife’s significant growth over the next 5 years.
  • Able to communicate to leadership effectively, simplifying complex supply chain topics is easily understood concepts in both visual and written form.
  • Strong customer orientation and customer service delivery.
  • Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.  Experience in managing through ambiguity.
  • Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
  • Highest levels of personal and professional integrity.
  • Multilingual (Spanish or Mandarin) preferred.

Level of Experience:  

  • Excellent Analytical and Communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel (expert level).
  • Project Management experience (expert level).
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC, R3, APO and Business Warehouse are preferred.
  • APICS - CSCP, CPIM, SCOR preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.

Level of Education:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree related to Supply Chain or equivalent supply chain experience required (12+ years). 
  • Master's Degree Preferred.

Travel:

Ability to travel up to 15% of time. Valid passport required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.

  • Identify and solve systemic and complex supply chain issues. Lead a large team/task force for a mid to long term project to resolve these issues and put in place effective countermeasures.
  • Continuously analyze the AirLife Supply Chain processes – Identify and propose process and tool improvements across multiple functions beyond Supply Chain.   Work cross-functionally to prioritize and drive improvements to capture impact.
  • Lead strategic and chartered projects – this includes projects driven outside of Supply Chain but has an impact on AirLife’s strategic imperatives. 
  • Facilitates onboarding process to peers at staff level within the broader Supply Chain organization.
  • Primary contact for projects and initiatives driven outside of standard Supply Chain functions - Customer Service, Demand Planning, Capacity Planning, Supply/Inventory Planning, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Distribution, Transportation.  Projects driven by M&A, Quality, Regulatory, PMO, Engineering, R&D that impacts Supply Chain.
  • Ability to connect the dots around how other functional projects can have an impact on Supply Chain and Service to AirLife’s growth and cash generation initiatives.
  • Leads problem solving sessions that identifies root cause and plan of action.
  • Develop capability within the staff and cross-functional teams through relationship building, training and collaborative issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality performance through leading by example.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
