Summary
The Technology & Data Solutions (TDS) business unit is the Syneos Health accelerator for life sciences innovation. TDS houses our advanced technology acquisitions, homegrown products & applications, actively participates in new M&A and partnership activities, delivers critical insights as part of our integrated strategy for customers and drives enterprise-wide adoption and change management for innovative tech & data solutions. Our work supports getting meaningful new medicines to patients faster, with greater positive impact. This position supports our business goals by designing, creating and developing software for both the front and back-end to meet the business needs of our customers both external and internal.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and create applications for multiple platforms in the Oracle Application Express (Apex) programming within an Oracle database for external and/or internal customer needs.
- Contribute to front and back-end development processes. This includes creating interfaces with detailed coding knowledge. Back end will leverage programming languages like Python or PHP to understand algorithms and business logic.
- Support full stack development based on the UI and solution design.
- Build new product features or APIs, enable software to exchange information across different applications.
- Ability to conceptualize a customer ask, develop and present the solution as part of a development team.
- Collaborate with QA to test, troubleshoot and fix bugs.
- Basic UI (user interface) knowledge and design principles to partner with the larger team.
- Ability to design, understand and manipulate database queries. Ability to model data.
- Ability to partner with a global team to deliver against customer expectations.
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or experience in related fields.
- Full stack development experience with the Oracle APEX Suite and the Oracle ecosystem.
- Technical experience in relevant fields (e.g., Oracle Apex (version 18 or higher and PL/SQL scripting) and some knowledge of UNIX and Linux scripting.
- Proficiency with a programming language and or tools (e.g., Python, R, AWS, SQL, Javascript).
- Experience enhancing existing systems and integrating with newly developed software.
- Understanding of integrating applications within a cloud-based environment using cloud technologies.
- Awareness of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS etc).
- Must be organized, detail oriented and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication both written and verbal.
- Previous experience working globally is preferred.
