Senior Certified Cloud Architect

Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Cloud Architect for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial role in leading the design and implementation of cutting-edge infrastructure, cloud modernization, and containerized solutions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. You will work closely with technical teams and key stakeholders to create solutions that fulfill business requirements while aligning with and helping to shape our overall technology strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure and cloud solutions for AWS, Azure, and GPC, emphasizing containerization and cloud-native technologies to enhance agility and efficiency.
• Drive cloud modernization initiatives, transitioning from traditional architectures to modern, containerized platforms using technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless frameworks.
• Define, maintain, and evolve architecture patterns, standards, and guidelines for infrastructure, cloud, and platform engineering.
• Collaborate with other architecture and non-architecture technical teams to ensure alignment with other domains such as Security, Networking, Data Management, and Application Development.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to System Architects and Engineers as part of our talent development pipeline.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure alignment with our technology strategy.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of new technologies through proofs of concept to assess their potential impact and integration into our existing systems.
• Develop architectural roadmaps, technology health checks, and architecture runway deliverables.
• Participate in architecture governance including development of Conceptual Architecture Design (CADs) other deliverables as needed.
• Guide design discussions with both technical and non-technical partners to produce comprehensive collaterals such as high-level designs, contemporary patterns, and strategic roadmaps.
• Deliver compelling presentations to executive leadership and external stakeholders, effectively conveying complex data and insights in a clear manner.

Requirements

Total Work Experience

• Minimum Required: 10+ years

Experience in structure and Cloud Architecture

• Minimum Required: Over 9 years
• Proven experience in leading the design and implementation of complex infrastructure and cloud solutions.

English Proficiency

• Minimum Required: Fluent

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, preferred
• Master's Degree preferred

Required Certifications

• One major architecture certification in AWS, Azure or GCP

Other Critical Skills:

• Understanding of multiple DBMS platforms (Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, NoSQL and PostgreSQL)
• Working knowledge of IAM, VPC, load balancers, serverless technologies, backup, storage, performance, WAF, cryptography, virtualization, automation and modernization.
• On-Premises Infrastructure: Advanced
• AWS Solutioning: Advanced
• Azure Solutioning: Intermediate
• Presentation: Advanced
• Executive Presence: Advanced
• Communication and collaboration: Advanced
• Strong leadership and mentorship
• Knowledge and participation in SAFe practices

Software / Tool Skills:

• Diagramming: Advanced (7+ Years)

Works Schedule: PST preferred, EST will be considered
