Being a Database Administrator at iManage Means…
Your role revolves around overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of critical Database Server systems as a key member of the global Cloud Platform Engineering team. This encompasses automation, implementation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, upgrade and performance optimization to guarantee the uninterrupted availability and consistent performance of diverse production applications within the iManage Cloud. The scope of your responsibilities spans across multiple production databases, including MSSQL, Azure SQL Managed Instances, and MYSQL among others.

iM Responsible For…
  • Leading the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server systems.
  • Designing and implementing SQL Architecture for Cloud Service Offerings.
  • Managing, configuring, and maintaining database servers and processes.
  • Monitoring system's health and performance.
  • Ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
  • Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time.
  • Providing suggestions for solutions.
  • Refining and automating regular processes, tracking issues, and documenting changes.
  • Partnering with developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Being on hand to offer support for critical production systems.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and supporting release deployment activities after hours.
  • Executing routine upgrades to keep the databases current and in compliance with the latest versions.
iM Qualified Because I Have…
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
  • Proficiency experience with MY SQL Server Administration.
  • Extensive experience with Azure SQL Managed Instances.
  • Deep knowledge of Performance Tuning and Optimization.
  • Expertise creating backups, restores and recovery models.
  • Proven knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
  • A strong inclination toward scripting and automation, utilizing scripting languages or other methods to target and manage multiple servers within specified timeframes efficiently.
  • Worked with both Windows server and Linux systems.
  • Experience with alerting and monitoring tools, OpsGenie/Zabbix preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GitHub/GitLab.
  • MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Cassandra or Mongo preferred.
  • A sense of ownership and pride in my performance and its impact on our success.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to prioritize, organize, and manage my time.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills and a love for being a team player.
