Data Engineer Specialist

Featuring services such as bill payments, mobile top-ups, public transportation, installment plans, and loans, designed with convenience, low cost and flexibility in mind. RecargaPay is changing the way both banked and unbanked Brazilians make their everyday payments and access their financial services.

Responsibilities

Data Intengration and Quality

• Integrate data from various sources
• Enhance data quality, reliability, availability, and traceability

Business and Process Evaluation

• Evaluate business needs and objectives
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition
• Optimize processes and queries

Collaboration and Standards:

• Collaborate with analytics teams and data engineers on multiple projects
• Promote and adopt data modeling standards and concepts
• Assess and leverage stored data to improve business operations and profitabilty

Data Replication and Event Handling

• Implement real-time or near-real-time data replication.
• Manage and process event data to ensure timely and accurate data updates

Requirements

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

Technicall Skills

• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge in Python and Spark.
• Advanced knowledge in database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Knowledge in relational and dimensional database modeling.
• Best practices in Data Lake or similar architectures.
• Experience with data replication in real-time or near-real-time environments.
• Handling and processing event data.
• Preferably experience with AWS Redshift and Databricks.

Additional Skills

• Experience in data governance.
• Great mathematical and analytical skills.

Language Skills

• Advanced proficiency in English or Spanish is a plus.
