This senior level position is responsible for administering the commission compensation plans for the sales team and payment of commissions due. This includes preparing statements and monthly reports for the account executives and providing monthly reports to management. In this position the individual communicates with Finance, HR, Sales, Sales Operations, and senior management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer all finance-related aspects of our variable compensation and commission plans for the company's rapidly growing global sales team including developing and maintaining commissions models and monthly commissions calculation.
- Accurately record monthly General Ledger entries and reconcile variable compensation liability accounts in a timely fashion.
- Work with Accounting and Payroll teams to communicate and process monthly commission payments accurately and on time.
- Administer and manage day to day operations of our commission calculation process to ensure accuracy of all commissions related data in our corporate ERP system and reconcile with Salesforce CRM and Xactly.
- Track, research and resolve commission calculation-related inquiries and exceptions including disputes and appeals.
- Work closely with Human Resources and Sales Operations to understand commission plans, new hire offers including non-standard terms, leave of absences, and terminations.
- Generate and distribute commission statements and management reports.
- Partner with all departments in accurately tracking all headcount changes including hires, terminations, transfers, and backfills.
- Test the commission system to ensure the system can handle commission calculations for various company changes.
- Effectively communicate with various levels of management, responding to inquiries from the sales force and sales management.
- Serve as system administrator of the Xactly Incent solution.
- Maintenance of the Xactly Incent solution.
- UAT testing and implementation.
- Annual setup/updates based on new plan changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related area strongly preferred.
- Must have at least 7 plus years sales compensation experience, preferably in the technology industry
- Experience with Xactly is required, NetSuite knowledge would be helpful.
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; ability to analyze complex business problems and make sound business decisions.
- Highly proficient at creating elegant, efficient, and effective compensation and financial models, budgets, and reports and enthusiastic to train others to do the same – expert proficiency in MS Excel including pivot tables, complex formulas, lookup functions, etc.
- Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments and administering complex programs.
- Strong, effective, and tactful communications skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and set priorities with minimal direct supervision.
- Strong analytical skills, disciplined attention to detail, highly organized and thorough.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
