This role demands deep expertise in FHIR standards, familiarity with DMBOK management practices, and preferably DAMA certification. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with healthcare data, data management best practices, and cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS GovCloud. The position is remote, with availability required during EST business hours. This position requires US Citizenship with a Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of a scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture for a health data fabric. This architecture will integrate multiple healthcare systems, adhere to FHIR standards, and support various data consumers, including mobile applications and AI/LLM technologies.
  • Support the development and management of data pipelines that enable seamless data integration across multiple systems, ensuring data is efficiently collected, transformed, and made accessible to various stakeholders. Implement data management best practices in alignment with DMBOK guidelines.
  • Design and optimize data solutions within GCP and AWS GovCloud environments, ensuring robust, compliant, and secure data processing and storage. Leverage cloud-native tools to enhance scalability and performance.
  • Ensure all data architecture components are fully compliant with FHIR standards, supporting seamless interoperability across healthcare systems. Implement best practices for managing healthcare data, including compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, developers, and clinical informaticist, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation covering all aspects of the data architecture, including design decisions, processes, and data management standards. Ensure adherence to data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to data architecture and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks. Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of data across all systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in data architecture and management. Drive innovation by integrating new approaches that enhance data processing, analytics capabilities, and overall infrastructure.
