SAIC is seeking experience Cloud Data Integration Engineer to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFMS) program. This is a fully remote position with no travel or onsite requirements.

AFMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.

The Cloud Data Integration Engineer will be responsible for the integration of Apache Superset within an AWS cloud environment. This role involves designing and managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure seamless data flow and visualization capabilities. We are seeking a highly experienced individual with a proven track record of successful data integration projects and cloud infrastructure management. This position is key to driving our big data initiatives and ensuring that our data infrastructure supports strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Integration of Apache Superset Deploy and integrate Apache Superset on AWS, ensuring it is configured correctly to interact with various data sources and AWS services.
• ETL Process Design and Management Design, implement, and manage ETL processes to ensure data is accurately and efficiently transformed and loaded into the appropriate data stores for visualization.
• AWS Infrastructure Management Plan, implement, and manage the AWS cloud infrastructure to support Apache Superset, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Performance Tuning Optimize the performance of Superset by tweaking metadata databases, caching layers, and other configurations.
• Security and Compliance Implement role-based access control and ensure compliance with security best practices.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment Manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines for server-based technologies.
• Big Data Initiatives Play a crucial role in driving our big data initiatives, ensuring that our data infrastructure supports strategic business goals and provides actionable insights.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• DoD 8570 certification in IAT Level II certification or above (Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISSP, etc.).
• Must be US Citizen and currently possess an active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s and 9+ years or more experience; Master's and 7+ years or more experience; PhD and 4 years related experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Proven track record of successfully deploying and integrating data visualization tools, specifically Apache Superset, within cloud environments.
• Proficiency in AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Advanced knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive big data initiatives and align data infrastructure with strategic business goals.

• Experience with MongoDB or Kafka is a plus.
  
  

Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
