Senior Business Consultant -  Land and Property Design

As a Senior Business Consultant - Land and Property Design at 5th World, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients toward implementing regenerative systems, ecosystem restoration, renewable energies, and advanced water management practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in assisting farmers, landowners, and organizations in transitioning from conventional practices to a wide array of best-in-class principles, including regenerative agriculture, permaculture, conservation, earthworks, agrivoltaics, CEA, agroforestry, and agroecology.

You will be responsible for providing strategic advice, conducting comprehensive assessments, designing innovative concepts, master and implementation plans, and fostering long-term relationships with clients. This position requires a blend of consulting experience, project management skills, and the ability to develop and maintain client relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution.


Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Understand client needs and objectives to provide tailored consulting solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and satisfaction.

Project Management and Execution:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of consulting projects.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion.
  • Conduct project reviews and provide regular updates to clients and senior management.

Analysis and Problem Solving:

  • Conduct detailed analyses to identify client challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop actionable recommendations and solutions based on data and client insights.
  • Utilize industry best practices and methodologies to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Sales Support and Proposal Development:

  • Contribute to the development of proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and support sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants to develop strategic proposals tailored to client needs.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct quality checks and reviews on work produced by junior consultants and team members.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall quality of consulting services.

Continuous Learning and Development:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance consulting skills and knowledge.
  • Share insights and knowledge with the team to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consulting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize technology and tools to improve productivity and project management.

Other Responsibilities

Client Workshops and Training:

  • Assist in developing and delivering training sessions and workshops for clients.
  • Provide clients with tools and knowledge to maximize the benefits of consulting services.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct research to understand industry trends and client challenges.
  • Contribute to market analysis efforts to support strategic decision-making.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks in projects and work with senior consultants to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the consulting team.
  • Share insights and best practices to enhance the overall quality of consulting services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field or a combination of experience, knowledge, and or formal education in leading agile teams
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in consulting, with a track record of successful project management and sales.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in regenerative land, permaculture, agriculture principles and practices and design of resilient infrastructures.
  • Strong understanding of soil health, biodiversity, water management, energy and land regeneration impacts.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing regenerative land management plans.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic proposals.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
